Vintage Marshall & Snelgrove Velvet Coat

This Vintage Marshall & Snelgrove Velvet Coat is one of the best items I’ve ever had on the catwalk and is now for sale 😍🪡🧵( its a big struggle to part with this one like a lot of my items)🤣
I cleaned it and restored in my studio, and intern  Ella Brown re-sewed the appliqué and re stitched the velvet fabulously and then we re-gathered the chiffon collar and trims. 
I styled this fabulous piece of history on the catwalk with one of my emerald gemstone headbands for a regal look, along with an emerald bustier top and a chiffon skirt to match the chiffon gathers in the coat, and knee boots. The owner of the coat and her family wanted to see it restored and loved and now it very much is and they will have the LFW these photos forever .
Marshall and Snelgrove closed in the early 1960’s but the Marshall & Snelgrove name and Oxford Street premises survived until the late 1960s, when the present Debenhams flagship store replaced the old buildings.
The coat is a size 8/10. It has some rips and re stitching in the lining but otherwise is in great condition for something so old .
